It has been fun watching Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien handle the schedule change with NBC’s late night lineup and finally Leno laid it all out in a matter-of-fact fashion last night.
During his primetime program, the former-and-soon-to-be “Tonight Show” host explained, "I think you know this town, you can do almost anything. You get ratings, they keep you. I wasn't getting the ratings, he wasn't getting 'em, that was NBC's solution."
Jay also predicted a quick resolution to the problem. “It looks like we might be back at 11:30. We might have an answer for you tomorrow.”
Leno concluded, "Through all of this, Conan O'Brien has been a gentleman. He's a good guy. I have no animosity towards him."
