With so many celebrities swapping from partner to partner, events such as the Cannes Film Festival tend to lead to a fair share of awkward moments and undesirable run-ins.
Coming as little surprise, this year has been no different than the rest. First it was Kid Rock bolting from a restaurant at first sight of ex Pam Anderson. Now, James Blunt has joined Kid by skipping a lavish party in Cannes when ex-love Petra Nemcova arrived in town.
When he was out clubbing Friday night, Leonardo DiCaprio seemed to be having a really good time. The only problem with that is that he was spotted with a hottie other than his supposed fiancee, Bar Refaeli.
Petra Nemcova, fresh off the James Blunt boat, was observed to be getting a bit close to Leo. "He looked like he was all over her," says a witness. "They were together from before 12:30 to around 2:30. He was holding her waist and touching her arm. Also, he was smoking up a storm - chain-smoking, almost."
Petra Nemcova hasn't skipped a beat since splitting with James Blunt in February. The couple's break-up was announced amidst sightings of Blunt partying with Lindsay Lohan. Not at all fazed, the beautiful Nemcova rather enjoys the single life.
"I am having a great time!" the 27-year-old model told People on Tuesday at the Br!ck Awards, which honor young people working toward social change.
This summer, music fans and environmentalists alike have something to cheer about. The world's biggest names in the music industry are prepping to help save the planet in a series of concerts around the world. Madonnna and James Blunt are two of the names among the many acts expected to perform at the Live Earth concert in London on July 7, in hopes of raising awareness of climate change and the dangers it poses.
According to Hello! magazine, other acts performing at the new Wembley Stadium include the Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Corinne Bailey Rae, Genesis and Duran Duran. The format is similar to the Live 8 concerts held in 2005, with Live Earth events also slated to be held in Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, unnamed US cities, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Sydney.
