Honoring one of the best in the business, The Friars Club Roast paid tribute to Jack Black in New York City on Friday afternoon (April 5).
Bob Saget served as the official Roastmaster, while big stars including Sarah Silverman, Ben Stiller, Padma Lakshmi, and Elvis Costello.
As for the guest of honor, Mr. Black didn’t seem to nervous and said, "Right now I feel like, let it rip. I'm made of cement. But I'm sure I'm wrong.”
Jack also commented on Mr. Saget, and explained, "I don't want to do anything that hurts somebody too much. You go for the gutter and the gut."
In addition, Kiss singer Gene Simmons got his taste of a good roasting and said, "I think that's what comedy is for, is to make the hard hitting things hurt a little less by making light of them."
