He was understandably upset when his mobile phone was hacked as part of a larger scandal in the UK, but Hugh Grant took action for the benefit of others affected by the fiasco.
The “Love Actually” stud told press, "The crusade against the people who hacked my phone is just the beginning of it. I don't think I would be on a crusade if it weren't for the fact that … they were winked at by the police, and winked at by our government."
Grant continued, "Although a lot of my stuff comes from personal grievance, I also am properly outraged for my country.”
When asked if he was concerned that his actions could get him blacklisted from 20th Century Fox films (Rupert Murdoch, the owner, is at the center of the scandal), Hugh laughed, "It couldn't bother me less. I don't do much acting anymore anyway, and not to work for 20th Century Fox is really the least of my worries."
