After pleading not guilty in court, Hope Solo is now publicly apologizing for her involvement in the family spat last weekend that left the professional soccer star facing domestic violence charges.
Solo posted a letter on Facebook that read, "I would like to apologize to my fans, teammates, coaches, marketing partners and the entire US Soccer and Seattle Reign FC communities for my involvement in a highly unfortunate incident this past weekend."
After her arrest for domestic violence, Hope Solo appeared in court on Monday (June 23) and plead not guilty.
The soccer star was taken into custody on Saturday (June 21) after allegedly brawling with her sister and 17-year-old nephew. The Seattle Times reports the fight left Solo’s family with “visible injuries.”
They say love is blind and it appears to be in the case of Hope Solo and Jerramy Stevens. Though the NFL player was arrested on Monday for allegedly assaulting his soon-to-be wife, the wedding went on as planned the next day.
In Kirkland, Washington, police responded to a disturbance call where they found the tight-end hiding upstairs with dried blood on his shirt. On Tuesday, Hope appeared in court and the charges against her fiancée were dropped.
