Kicking off another day on the job, Hilary Swank showed up on the set of “Mary & Martha” in Wilmington, North Carolina yesterday (July 10).
The “Million Dollar Baby” starlet filmed scenes at an outdoor location in the Cape Fear region as fans and shutterbugs looked on from a distance.
“Mary & Martha” also stars Brenda Blethyn and centers on women on a mission to wipe out malaria. And it just so happens that a local church youth group will be included in the plot as they’re doing the same thing in real life.
Trinity United Methodist Church trustee Ronnie Pickler told press, "The vacation bible school program taught the children about malaria and how the mosquito nets work. The kids raised money to buy the nets with some of their artwork and donations from church members. I've heard that when the director saw the children's work, he wrote them and the nets into the film."
