Earlier tonight (February 10) Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, and Jack Antonoff (and songwriter Jeffrey Bhasker) were given the iconic Song of the Year trophy for their hit “We Are Young,” and it couldn’t have gone to more deserving folks.
Of course, it wasn’t a cakewalk for the “Some Nights” rockers from New York City, as they had to top Ed Sheeran, Miguel, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Kelly Clarkson, all of whom had strong showings.
Fun’s “We Are Young” found favor with all kinds of, well, young people since its release thanks to a feature on “Glee” and inclusion on a 2012 SuperBowl commercial for Chevrolet.
