Making the crowd of women swoon, Gerard Butler made an appearance on “Good Morning America” in New York City this afternoon (December 5).
The 43-year-old actor looked dapper in a grey suit as he greeted his adoring fans at ABC studios before chatting with Josh Elliot about his film “Playing for Keeps.”
In the flick, the “P.S. I Love You” star portrays a former soccer star that’s trying to win back his lost love portrayed by the lovely Jessica Biel.
During today’s interview, Butler reminisced on his own soccer stardom, which occurred back when he was nine-years-old. “It just so happened all the schools were out at that moment, so they were watching this play.”
“I think it was 3-0, and it was the most exciting game I ever played. All of a sudden that ball was there on the goal line and it was scramble… I kind of kneed [the ball] in and I never had a crowd go so crazy… and for that moment, I was the guy.”
The Scottish-born actor also explained that the training for his film was familiar, adding, “This is what I grew up doing.”
