It’s one of his most prized possessions, but George Clooney’s Italian villa was in harm’s way because of some high-powered explosives.
According to a report, the Clooney residence was roped off earlier today when soldiers were called to recover an arsenal of World War II-era bombs that were located nearby.
Included in the stash were 500 pounds of hand grenades, mortars, and aircraft bombs that had been submerged in the waters of Lake Como.
A local fisherman discovered the explosives and immediately called the Italian Navy, who are now gathering them for detonation in a cave.
