Etta James Passes Away at Age 73

In what comes as quite the saddening news to the music world, Etta James has passed away at the age of 73.

The legendary R&B singer left this world while receiving care at a medical facility in Riverside, California, according to a family spokesperson.

Miss James' death follows an ardent battle with leukemia, which she was diagnosed with in 2010, while she also suffered from dementia and Hepatitis C.

Truly a legend, Etta had six Grammy Awards to her credit and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thanks to a slate of hit tunes including "At Last" and "Something's Got a Hold on Me".
