She’s one that typically likes to make her own rules, and when Erykah Badu took it upon herself to strip naked in public for a music video, well, she landed in the hotseat.
The “Apple Tree” singer has been charged with disorderly conduct by Dallas police after removing her clothes in the middle of the day in a public square in Dallas, Texas earlier this month.
The ordeal took place in Dealey Plaza where John F Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, for her new song “Window Seat” where after stripping her clothes, falls to the ground to the sound of a gunshot.
"I would never disrespect JFK," Badu wrote on Twitter. "his revolutionary thinking is my inspiration. my performance art has been grossly misinterpreted by many."
According to NY Daily News, the singer will be fined and once the payment is received, the issue will be resolved.
