After months and months of promos and advertising, “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts hits theaters today (August 13).
Per IMDB’s website, the film is about a happily married woman (played by Roberts) who is trying to get pregnant and realizes her life needs to go in a different direction after a painful divorce, and decides to take off on a round-the-world journey.
The movie is based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert and of Julia playing her in the film, Ms Gilbert told press, "It's hard to imagine that it could have been anybody but Julia because she's so loveable, and you need to care about the character to want to watch her go through all that. She's good at making people care about her."
And of Elizabeth, Julia tells, “I relate to her search and her pursuit. But, it was definitely great to have a fulfilled sense of my own life. To play some of these scenes and come home to my family and to know it’s all good, was perfect.”
