Drew Barrymore rose to fame as a child star who has been very open about the emotional/physical problems that she faced. Drew Barrymore is one of the most known actresses in Hollywood, she has always has a full schedule of new movies to film.
Photographed by Jean-Paul Goulde, the “50 First Dates” dame truly embodies the concept of “Hot”- “Hot is a state of mind. It’s an energy. You’re hot when you’re motivated. It means you want it and you’re going after it. Hot isn’t about being on the A-list of having a hot body. It’s literally people who are on fire. Like Lena Dunham is on fire. Amy Schumer. Louis C.K. I think their brands of comedy and observational life stuff are some of the coolest I’ve seen in so many years.”
Given the many hats she wears on a daily basis, Drew Barrymore maintains her sanity by staying centered on her family duties first. In her cover story for the Fourth of July issue of Hamptons magazine, the “E.T.” actress discusses what balance looks like for her.
Drew declares, “It’s definitely challenging, but I really compartmentalize my time. Number one, it’s my kids. For me, waking up with them every day, having free days with them, working from home a lot, getting to do dinner, bath, and bed, is everything. My weekends are with them. I spend so much time with them that I’m actually excited when I get to step out of the house and go to a meeting. And then, things have to fall off the table. Sometimes it does seem overwhelming, but you just prioritize. You know you can’t do everything. You choose your battles. If you’re being the kind of person you want to be— which for me is a parent first—then you get excited about stepping away here and there and focusing on some other things. All of these businesses, as time consuming as they are, they let me be the kind of parent I want to be.”
With decades of experience in the entertainment industry, Drew Barrymore is a wealth of helpful hints and insight when it comes to getting camera-ready.
In her interview with the July 2015 issue of Redbook, the “Never Been Kissed” star revealed the best tip she’s learned over the years in the makeup chair- “Putting eyeliner on the inside corners of your top lids completely opens up your eyes – if you wear glasses, it’s a game changer. Also, to tiptoe into bright makeup, trace a colorful eyeliner or eye shadow along your upper lash line. It’ll add just a hint, so you won’t come across as crazy blue-eye shadow woman.”
She always seems to have a sunny disposition and Drew Barrymore enjoyed a light-hearted chat with the Glamour magazine’s April 2015 edition.
The “Never Been Kissed” cutie revealed her favorite feature about herself- “My hair. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I destroy it time and time again, and it’s still there, semi-happy. I love playing with it; it’s like my personal plant—I keep getting to prune it.”
She’s spent her entire life in the public eye, and yet even Drew Barrymore Drew Barrymore has been having trouble scoring quality roles in Hollywood films.
In her cover story for the February 2015 issue of More magazine, the “50 First Dates” actress explained, “My phone isn’t ringing off the hook with great parts,” hence she’s elected to focus most of her time on her Flower Beauty line.
Stepping out for a fabulous fete, Drew Barrymore hosted the Refinery29 Los Angeles Holiday Party at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood last night (December 10). The “50 First Dates” dame was darling in all black as she mingled with celebrity guests like Bella Thorne.
And during the shindig, Drew told E! News that she’s thrilled to be coming upon her big 40th birthday. "I'm so excited. I finally feel the age that I am and I'll tell you why—I always felt older than the number I was. I was always too mature and adult and raising myself or running a company or I'm only 19 and I'm a homeowner. Forty feels like where I'm at. It makes sense."
