He’s won more seasons of “Dancing With the Stars” than any other pro, and now Derek Hough is ready to move on. The handsome dancer released a statement today (January 13) to let his fans know the reasoning behind his decision.
Derek stated, “I am ecstatic that I’ll able to extend my passion for performing to the Great Stage of Radio City Music Hall in New York Spring Spectacular. Performing at Radio City Music Hall in a show that celebrates everything that is beloved about New York City is a dream. I can’t wait to show fans this production… It’s going to be like nothing they’ve seen me in before.”
According to E! News, the “Almost Famous” starlet was spotted kissing Derek Hough at the Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles this past Friday evening (December 5). Kate and the “Dancing with the Stars” stud have been friends for years and it’s only natural that they may have developed feelings for each other.
He choreographed the Ice Dancing routine for American athletes Meryl Davis and Charlie White, so it’s no wonder Derek Hough was elated when they scored the gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
Following the announcement, the “Dancing With the Stars” stud proclaimed, "I've been rooting for them the whole time. It's just unbelievable. I'm so happy for them. It couldn't have happened to two nicer people.”
From one end of Salt Lake City, Utah to the next, the entire Hough family was in on the action, dancing at home on Christmas morning, as well as taking to the streets under the stars, after they attended a nighttime showing of the second "Hobbit" movie.
