Fans all over the world waited anxiously last night (March 2) to see what Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmates would say in their much-anticipated announcement video. And thankfully, the “Big Me” rockers aren’t splitting up, despite a ton of rumors to the contrary.
The clip opened with Grohl contemplating a solo career while chatting with legendary producer Butch Vig, though Dave’s attempts at a new direction were disastrous to say the least.
Sharing his new supergroup with the world, Dave Grohl debuted Sound City Players at the Sundance Film Festival where he appeared at the Cinema Cafe Presented By Chase Sapphire Preferred at Filmmaker Lodge on Tuesday (January 22).
On Friday night, the Foo Fighters frontman brought 17 other musicians on stage for an over three hour concert. The star-studded stage was graced by talent like Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Queens of the Stone Age’s Alain Johannes, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, Masters of Reality’s Chris Goss, Lee Ving, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Slip Knot’s Corey Taylor, Rick Springfield, John Fogerty, and Stevie Nicks.
