Daniel Radcliffe Signs On for "All Quiet on the Western Front"

Stepping out of his infamous Harry Potter character, Daniel Radcliffe is now gearing up for a different type of film.

The 20-year-old actor is said to be the star in a World War I literary adaptation called “All Quiet on the Western Front.”

According to Variety, Mr Radcliffe will play Paul Baumer, a young German soldier who is sent with his friends to fight in the trenches.

The flick will begin shooting in spring 2010, and in the meantime, the "Harry Potter" star is currently committed to performing on Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”
