Given that the holiday season is upon us, it’s extra difficult for the brave men and women serving in the military overseas. And Daniel Craig decided to personally take his new flick “Skyfall” to Afghanistan and visit with the UK troops over the weekend.
The James Bond 007 actor showed up at Camp Bastion and spent time with approximately 800 soldiers to show his appreciation for their service.
Craig also got to take a tour of the whole compound and experienced the training that the folks in Afghanistan have to undergo prior to their assignment.
One grateful soldier told press, “We get quite a lot of visitors here, but having James Bond was special. He seemed to be pretty comfortable in the driving seat.”
Furthermore, Daniel took time out of his tour to check in on injured personnel in the hospital facilities. “It was really good morale for everyone - it's a decent thing for him to take time to come out and visit everyone here,” said Private Scott Craggs.
