Treating herself to some shopping and dining out, Dakota Fanning was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon (January 17).

The “Runaways” starlet looked to be in a great mood as she frolicked around town, showing off her newly-dyed pink hair tips.

Dakota’s carefree disposition is good to see, especially considering the controversy surrounding her cover spot on the latest Cosmopolitan magazine.

Former fashion model Nicole Weider took aim at Cosmo, stating that using Dakota on the cover “unashamedly markets to teen girls while insisting in press kids that its audience is over 18.”
