Stepping out to perform her non-Hollywood duties, Dakota Fanning was spotted heading to class at NYU on Tuesday (May 1).
The "War of the Worlds" starlet looked casual in a cream feather-embellished cardigan, black skinny jeans and sunglasses as she walked the Big Apple sidewalks on her way to the prestigious campus.
In a recent interview with California Style magazine, the 18-year-old actress talked about her college experience, saying, "I’m not going to school for a career. I’m going for my own interest, for myself."
Though Dakota started university life last fall at the age of 17, the blonde beauty says that she plans to keep making movies, explaining, "I already know what I want to do forever."
Outside of the classroom, you can expect to see Miss Fanning in her newest film, "Effie," which tells the story of teenage bride Effie Gray and her mysterious relationship between Victorian art critic John Ruskin.
