Tackling her first day of production on her latest project, Chloe Moretz was spotted arriving on-set of the new remake of "Carrie" in Toronto, Canada on Monday (June 25).
With her cell phone in her hand, the 15-year-old actress climbed out of a black van and made her way to the filming location wearing grey sweatpants and a black tee-shirt.
The north of the border workday comes as Chloe recently told Vanity Fair how she's preparing for her role as Carrie White, saying, “I am changing everything about me—my hair, my look,” adding, “I’m doing my own take on [the character]. The script is totally different from the [original]. It’s more like the book. It’s a more Black Swan version—it messes with your mind. You’ll see things, and you don’t know if you’ve seen them.”
Based on the novel by Stephen King, the 1976 film re-make follows Carrie White (Chloe Moretz) - a shy high school student raised by a frantic religious mother ( Julianne Moore) who uses deadly telepathic powers when some of her high school classmates push her over the edge by bullying her.
Talking about working with Julianne, Chloe joked, “I don’t know if we are supposed to bond [because of our characters’ relationship], but I feel like we both will because we’re both cool".
Also featured in the film - which is expected to hit theaters on March 15, 2013 - is Gabriella Wilde as Sue Snell, Portia Doubleday as Chris Hargensen, and Judy Greer as Miss Desjardin.
