With Stephen Colbert’s big move from cable to major network (if you’ve been living under a rock, he’s replacing David Letterman on ‘The Late Show’), it seems Chelsea Handler is striking while the iron is hot.
The “Chelsea Lately” lady is leaving E! and from the look of her Instagram post, she’s in talks with CBS for a new gig.
Going into some exciting deliberations with CBS, Chelsea Handler is reportedly in talks to host her own late night talk show!
The Wrap reported that Chelsea's discussions started before David Letterman's retirement declaration, and she talked with NBC about working the later 12:30AM slot, which is held by Craig Ferguson on his "Late, Late Show."
After eight years of late night laughs, Chelsea Handler will be ending her talk show after this year.
According to the funny-lady's manager Irving Azoff, "Chelsea Lately" will not go on after Handler's contract expires, though he did note they had other options available outside of the show's current network, E!.
Using her comedic charm to promote her latest work, Chelsea Handler sat down with Gwyneth Paltrow on Tuesday night (March 11) to discuss her new book, "Uganda Be Kidding Me."
The hilarious sit down "interview" took place at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA with Chelsea explaining that she chose Miss Paltrow for the interviewee position because "she can speak and a lot of people in this industry can't."
