He’s thrilled about his new show “Anger Management,” and last night (July 16) Charlie Sheen visited “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” for a promotional appearance.
Sporting a dark suit with a lilac button-up oxford shirt, the “Hot Shots Part Deux” actor hung out with Leno and fellow guest Jay Mohr, and even discussed the rumors that he is being considered to fill one of the “American Idol” vacancies left by Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Sheen noted that he’d never been contacted by “Idol” prior to the rumors, but he’d be up for the gig if the circumstances were right.
"I had never thought about it, and I heard it on the news, so I thought I'd better respond to that. I came up with my terms ... and I'm waiting to hear back."
Those terms include having the FX network (they own “Anger Management”) sign off on the deal, and that he get a massive salary, including "Idol matches 20 percent of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club."
Charlie also noted, "I could be helpful and give these kids some guidance without leading them to suicide," to which Leno replied, "If I had a child that needed guidance, I would send that child to you."
