His new flick “17 Again” opened in theaters nationwide this past Friday, and Zac Efron is enjoying being #1 at the box office after bringing in $24 million so far.
And in a recent interview, the “High School Musical” stud revealed that he had a hard time with popularity in high school. “I was pretty cool until about freshman year of high school and then it was downhill until I was about 17 and then something happened and it all came back.”
He continued, “But that was pretty much the time that I was just average. I worked hard in school, got good grades. I was not that cool, so to speak. I mean, I thought I was cool but looking back — I really wasn’t.”
Celebrating his box office success, Efron took his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens to see the Lakers defeat the Utah Jazz, with a final score of 113-100.
