Willa Ford Slated To Play Anna Nicole

While numerous names have been thrown around, dancer-singer Willa Ford has nabbed the role of Anna Nicole Smith in an indie biopic that will begin shooting next week.

The film, “Anna Nicole,” is produced by Jack and Joseph Nasser with Elie Samaha executive producing and Keoni Waxman directing, according to Variety reports.

The movie is set to cover Anna Nicole’s life from the age of 17 until her death in February at the age of 39. The years will depict “her success as a Playboy centerfold, Guess model and actress, her marriage to billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, the death of her son and her own death five months after giving birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn.”

Not all that well-known, Willa Ford did have a multiplatinum single “I Wanna Be Bad” on her debut album “Willa Was Here.” She was also a performer on the third season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Besides playing Anna Nicole, Ford is also currently writing and recording her sophomore album.
