Kate Winslet Visits the Late Show
Out on the promotional trail for her soon-to-be-released movie, Kate Winslet was spotted making a stop at the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday (January 8).
The 33-year-old English actress is boosting interest in her new movie “Revolutionary Road,” in which she stars alongside “Titanic” co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
Hitting theaters on January 15, “Revolutionary Road” tells the story of “a young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s who struggle to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children.”
Meanwhile, Kate’s expected to be heading to the east coast tomorrow ahead of the British Academy BAFTA/LA’s 15th annual tea party to be held on Saturday.
Held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, confirmed guests include Josh Brolin, Kristin Scott Thomas, Danny Boyle, Sally Hawkins, Melissa Leo, Viola Davis, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ralph Fiennes, Paul Haggis, Marisa Tomei, Ian McKellan and Amy Adams, among others.

Reese Witherspoon: Brentwood Beauty
Enjoying a relaxing afternoon, Reese Witherspoon was spotted having lunch with a friend in Brentwood on Thursday afternoon (January 8).
Fresh off of a big night at the People’s Choice Awards the previous evening, the “Legally Blonde” beauty and her gal pal then went shopping at the Polly store in the Brentwood Country Mart.
As for her People’s Choice night, Reese was the winner of the Best Female Actress award for her work in the comedy “Four Christmases.”
Talking to Thea Andrews at the show, Witherspoon said, “As a movie actor you don’t get to see your audiences as much as, say, the musicians, who get to have concerts and they get to have the audience right in front of them. So to come here tonight and see all the fans and know that everybody voted for you, it’s a real opportunity to say thank you to everybody and I know it’s not the easiest time right now in people’s lives, so I want to thank them for supporting ‘Four Christmases,’ and myself.”

Tom Cruise Addresses Travolta Family Loss
Sorrowfully offering his condolences, Tom Cruise just recently spoke out about the shocking death of John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s 16-year-old son Jett.
“I remember Jett when he was born. I saw him when he was just a few months old and John just adored him, and both of his children, and Kelly,” Cruise said during an appearance on “The View.”
“I just don’t have the words for it,” the “Top Gun” star adds. “It’s just horrific. Here you have a man, both of them doting parents, they’re wonderful people and…”
Clearing up rumors that the Travolta’s didn’t get immediate help due to their Scientology beliefs, Tom tells, “That’s just not true. They say, ‘Get your physical, get your medication, get your physical illnesses handled.’”

Kim Kardashian: Nail Salon Sexy
Stepping out for a little afternoon pampering, Kim Kardashian was spotted paying a visit to her local Beverly Hills nail salon on Thursday (January 8).
Showing off her sexy curves in a white track jacket with black spandex pants, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” starlet snuck in a manicure and pedicure as paparazzi eagerly snapped up shots.
Meanwhile, Miss Kardashian recently urged fans to go out and buy “Disaster Movie” now that it has been released on DVD - adding that there’s some steamy bonus footage with co-stars Carmen Electra and Vanessa Minnillo.
On a sour note, the film has indubitably been named as one of the unlucky nominees for Worst Picture at this year’s Razzie Awards.

Sporting her stylish new hairdo, Jessica Alba was spotted making her way to a party on Melrose on Thursday afternoon (January 8).
The “Sin City” starlet looked cute in a white blouse with lavender trousers and beige platform heels as she hopped out of her car, tucked in her shirt and headed inside to the day’s fete.
Meanwhile, it’s recently been reported the Miss Alba is lining herself up to star as a murdered teenager in the Tamil film “Goa.”
Produced by Soundarya Rajnikant, the movie is said to be based on the slaying of Scarlet Keeling, which happened in the coastal Indian state in 2008.

Suri Cruise: Dean and Daluca Cookie Cutie
Continuing their mother/daughter outing, Katie Holmes was spotted out shopping with Suri in New York City on Thursday afternoon (January 8).
With Suri chomping away on a cookie from Dean and Daluca as her hair flopped in the wind, the duo then popped into Uniqloas so Katie could grab a treat for herself - some new clothes.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Katie is in the final week of her Broadway show “All My Sons” - which sees in its final performance on Sunday (January 11).

Stepping out for work obligations, Shia LaBeouf was spotted leaving his house in Glendale as he made his way to CBS studios on Thursday (January 8).
Sporting a Kawasaki hat with casual garb, the 22-year-old “Transformers” hottie toted his favorite beverage, an Arizona Iced Tea, in one hand while he loosely held paperwork in his cast hand.
Meanwhile, there’s still rumors with no final word that director D.J. Caruso is trying to line-up LaBeouf to portray the lead role in gender apocalypse comic “Y: The Last Man.”
Talking about his plans, Caruso said: “I see it as a trilogy because there is so much to put in. Where the first movie ends doesn’t even relate to the last issue because it’s so far down the road. It hasn’t succeeded so far in the screenplay format because everyone keeps trying to throw everything in there. We’re only taking this [first] story so far.”

Ana Ortiz Is Expecting Her First Baby!
Joining the celebrity mothers-to-be club, Ana Ortiz is reportedly pregnant with her very first child with husband Noah Lebenzon.
According to People magazine, the 37-year-old “Ugly Betty” actress and her Half Life rocker hubby will be welcoming their newborn in late July.
“They are thrilled and ecstatic,” a friend of Ana and Noah said. “They can’t wait to be parents.”
Hinting that she felt ready to start a family, Ortiz told People back in September, “It’s definitely something that my husband and I talk about all the time.”
