Whitney Houston: Headed to X-Factor

She’s been riding high on a comeback wave ever since the release of her new album I Look to You, and now Whitney Houston has scored a gig alongside Simon Cowell.

The “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” songstress will reportedly appear on the smash hit television show “The X-Factor” on October 18th, the day before her new album drops in the UK.

And it sounds like Whitney is pumped about the whole thing.  She told press, “It should be a fun night.  I am a fan of Simon Cowell and look forward to meeting him.”

Ms. Houston joins a host of other major singers to appear on the X-Factor this season, including Robbie Williams and Amy Winehouse.
