Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes Stiff Waitress

Adding to the notion that celebrities are bad tippers when they dine out, Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham recently stiffed their waitress.

The pair were lunching at the Mondrian Hotel’s Asia de Cuba restaurant when they neglected to properly tip their waitress. After Katie paid their check, the two ladies began to exit the restaurant.

When the waitress noticed the oversight, she attempted to catch up with Katie and Victoria, but was stopped by their security guards. It isn’t clear whether they declined to tip because of poor service, or whether they just forgot.

But it wouldn’t be out of character for Posh to come off a bit cheap. According to her husband, David, she’s always been careful with their money. “Victoria is the one who tells me, ‘You can’t pay for that’. She’s the sensible one who tells me not to be so silly.”

But according to a Starbucks barista in Katie’s hometown of Toledo, Ohio, the Dawson’s Creek actress has always been a good tipper. Former coffeehouse worker Jeff Lavalette tells us, “Whenever Katie came into the store to get her Soy Chai Latte, she left a fat tip.”
