Ups and Downs For Rihanna
Sure, she’s the hottest “Good Girl Gone Bad” that we’ve seen in a long time. But things aren’t as peachy for Rihanna as we may all think.
She’s in the midst of a North American tour right now, and the “Umbrella” singer seems to be having the time of her life. On Saturday, she was in Toronto, Canada tearing up the stage in a black dominatrix outfit with a matching umbrella.
And she has her fair share of awards to boast about. Most recently, Rihanna took home the “Best International Artist” award at the UK MOBO Awards.
But Stateside, it seems that this girl from Barbados is having a bit of trouble putting butts in the seats at her shows. She still hasn’t had a true “sell out” concert, and promoters are getting concerned about the possibility of making money on her shows.
An insider told press, “We haven’t even sold one quarter of the seats at (an upcoming New York City performance) ... If things don’t pick up soon, we’re going to have to start canceling dates.”
