Uncomfortable Cannes For Blunt and Nemcova

With so many celebrities swapping from partner to partner, events such as the Cannes Film Festival tend to lead to a fair share of awkward moments and undesirable run-ins.

Coming as little surprise, this year has been no different than the rest. First it was Kid Rock bolting from a restaurant at first sight of ex Pam Anderson. Now, James Blunt has joined Kid by skipping a lavish party in Cannes when ex-love Petra Nemcova arrived in town.

James had been invited to a bash hosted by De Grisogono jewelers on Tuesday night (May 22). The party was being deejayed by Kid Rock, who invited Blunt - as the two have become recent friends.

But James was having none of it, as he refused to be in the same room as Petra. This move goes against statements by the twos’ friends - who’ve insisted that James and Petra split on good terms.

Miss Nemcova’s reaction - when the topic of her ex was brought up - further indicated that the end of the couple’s romance may have been a little bit messier than the public was led on to believe.

According to The Sun, “Rolling her eyes, Petra said, ‘Don’t even talk to me about James. I just want to enjoy myself tonight.’”

And enjoy the night she did! Petra was looking gorgeous, as always, laughing it up with friends and colleagues. It comes as little surprise that James didn’t want to be in the same room with her - he didn’t want to see what he let go for a few nights out partying with the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Bad move, James. Bad move.
