Tori Spelling Says No To 90210
Though she’s flirted with the idea of returning to 90210 as part of the CW’s new spinoff, Tori Spelling’s rep confirmed today that she has decided to pass on the project.
In a statement, her rep told press, “At this time, there are no plans for Tori to appear in the 90210 spinoff.” And it sounds like it has a lot to do with money.
It seems that Spelling wasn’t very impressed with the $10,000-$20,000 per episode salary she was offered, in comparison to the $35,000-$50,000 per episode being earned by co-stars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty.
An industry insider told press, “She thought she deserved parity, and she’s got a point.” Instead, Tori will focus on writing a sequel to her bestselling memoirs, as well as her various other projects.
