Tom Cruise Grabs a Bambi
Relax, we’re not talking about a cute little doe, but rather a German film award. The “Top Gun” actor, escorted by wife Katie Holmes, accepted the award for “Courage.”
Cruise just finished filming “Valkyrie,” a movie about the failed Operation Valkyrie plot to kill Adolf Hitler. He played Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, a member of the Nazi army who defected against the evil dictator.
The prize committee jury stated, “Cruise has pursued a brave project which is making an international public familiar with the story that has never before been the theme: the German resistance heroes against the Third Reich.”
The “Mission: Impossible” actor wore a sharp black tuxedo with a necktie (in lieu of a bowtie), and got to mill around the event with his beautiful wife Katie, who was sporting a new ‘do.
