The Hills Engagement: Heidi Says “Yes” To Spencer
The Hills are alive, as MTV’s hit reality show has been turning up the drama. The big news - Heidi Montag has said “Yes” to boyfriend Spencer Pratt’s wedding proposal - leading to a bit of a catfight with co-star and now ex-roommate, Lauren Conrad.
According to Us Magazine, Montag and Pratt are engaged after he proposed to her Tuesday night at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara. “She said, ‘yes.’ She’s over the moon!” an insider told the magazine.
With The Hills’ second season coming to an end, Montag packed her bags and left the apartment she shared with Conrad - opting to move in with her soon-to-be-husband instead. Lauren now thinks that Heidi has “disrupted” their friendship, with Montag reportedly declining to attend The Hills: Finale After Party at MTV Studios in New York City because Pratt was not invited.
“Lauren is just jealous of Heidi’s relationship with me,” Pratt boasted to In Touch Weekly. “Until she accepts Heidi being with who she loves, their friendship is not going to work… Lauren’s the one who wanted to date me first, before Heidi. (Conrad) wishes she was in love.”
Despite the bickering between the former friends, Heidi seems to be as happy as she has ever been before.
“We have so much fun,” Heidi told OK! Weekly. “I never knew I could love someone like this.”
The couple has yet to set a wedding date. When asked about the issue, Montag said, “I’m having fun with Spencer, and we’re looking forward to a fun summer!”
