Teri Hatcher’s Charitable Acts
Her hit show Desperate Housewives has its season premiere airing tonight, and there’s no better way to drum up positive publicity than donating to a charity auction.
Teri Hatcher was all about giving up her once-worn shoes for a good cause, as she attended a a clothing drive put on by The Children’s Place yesterday afternoon.
The Susan Meyer actress is doing her best to give back to society - and it doesn’t stop at donating old footwear.
Recently, Teri did an interview with Newsweek, which read: “I’m 7. ‘Do you want to go with me?’ asks my uncle. I wanted to go. I remember that. I remember feeling excitement and shame simultaneously. In that moment, all I knew was that for some reason I wanted to be alone ... with him. We’d be driving to pick up my cousin. We’d pull over in some abandoned parking lot. He’d turn off the engine and suddenly that space in the car with the seats that go all the way across would become the scary and haunting locale of the most defining and damaging event in my life.”
Ms Hatcher goes on to tell of what transpired, offering advice to other young girls finding themselves in the same unfortunate position.
The Gossip Girls applaud Teri’s efforts and hope that you’ll support her by watching Desperate Housewives tonight at 9PM on ABC.
