Stars Salute Designers at CFDA Awards

Having a marvelous time, the stars turned up to salute their favorite designers during the 2009 CFDA Awards at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Monday (June 15).

With supermodels Heidi Klum and Molly Sims having fun with Heidi’s baby bump, other attendees at the swanky Big Apple fete included Blake Lively, Whitney Port, Claire Danes, Ashley Olsen and “Twilight” hunk Taylor Lautner.

As for the show, hosted by Tracey Ullman, winners included Scott Sternberg for Band of Outsiders and Italo Zucchelli for Calvin Klein Collection as Menswear Designers of the Year Award, Kate and Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte as Womenswear Designer of the Year Award, while Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough for Proenza Schouler took home Accessory Designer of the Year.

Meanwhile, First Lady Michelle Obama was bestowed with the CFDA’s Board of Directors’ Special Tribute, while Jim Moore, creative director of GQ, grabbed up the Eleanor Lambert Award.
