Spike TV’s Star-Studded 2008 “Scream” Awards

The stars of Hollywood were out in full force at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles for Spike TV’s Scream Awards on Saturday night (October 18).

In its third year, the “Scream Awards” honor the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror, with this year’s show featuring appearances by celebrities including Kate Beckinsale, Kristen Bell, Rosario Dawson, Milla Jovovich, Stan Lee, the Osbournes, AnnaLynne McCord, Seth Rogen, Winona Ryder, and Liv Tyler, among many others.

During the course of the evening, honors for excellence were bestowed upon actor Sir Anthony Hopkins and filmmakers Tim Burton and Wes Craven.

As for the movie awards, “The Dark Knight” dominated the field by collecting twelve awards including the events’ most prestigious award, The Ultimate Scream.

The two-hour show also included musical performances by the Smashing Pumpkins and pop star Kerli. To catch all of the action, tune in to Spike TV on Tuesday (October 21), where the show will premiere at 9:00 PM, ET/PT.
