Sienna Miller Launches Fashion Line
Pretty soon designers like Roberto Cavalli and Donna Karan may have to look for work in Hollywood. With all of the celebrity fashion lines coming out recently, the designing world is getting more crossovers from Tinseltown than ever before. And Sienna Miller is the latest in the line of actors turned designers.
Sienna and her sister Savannah unveiled their own brand of wearables this past weekend at the Hold Renfrew Boor boutique. And it was a smashing success.
Twenty8Twelve, named for Miller’s birthday, is the new line that everybody’s talking about. And according to Fashion Magazine’s Susie Sheffman, it’s just one line in the race for movie stars to endorse themselves.
“We’ve been slavering over what celebrities wear. They launch ‘it’ bags, we vote on which celebrity wore which Prada dress better, we examine their Oscar gowns with microscopes. Of course they are going to get in on the game and make some money for themselves. Why endorse a brand, or pose for an ad, when you can own the company?”
About 600 people came out for snow cone martinis and live dj’s spinning funky music at the premiere. And Sienna and Savannah were ushered into the widely-expanding world of celebrity fashion designers.
