Shoes Make Hilary Duff Feel “Cute”
Part of a musician’s job is constant touring. And being on the road all the time can get pretty hectic. Living out of a suitcase, hotel to hotel, can create a longing for home…or shoes, according to Hilary Duff.
The singer/actress confessed recently that the touring lifestyle leaves her feeling grungy and not very girly. She told press, “When you’re on tour- except for at night because you get dressed up for the show- normally you look so gross. You just throw on sweats and don’t do anything with yourself until the show.”
And that kind of living makes her long for her amazing shoe collection. “After about a month of that you’re like, ‘I feel like a man. I need to be cute.’ So I have to have cute (shoe) options and put a little effort into it.”
Another touring treat? Her dogs, of course. “I bring my two dogs with me. It’s hard because you’re in a different hotel room almost every day and it’s just so impersonal. I’m definitely a homebody so having them there makes it more comfortable.”
Something Hilary does not have to keep her company is a boyfriend. Despite rumors to the contrary, Hilary is not dating Brody Jenner, per his comments to TMZ last weekend. “We’re just friends,” he told the paparazzi.
