Shia LaBeouf: Vindicated, Sort of

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, Shia LaBeouf was involved in a rather serious collision in which his truck flipped, and he sustained extensive injury to his left hand.  And though he was cited for DUI, he wasn’t blamed for the actual accident.

Sherriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore vindicated the “Transformers” stud in a statement earlier today, declaring “He was not at fault.”

Apparently the driver of the vehicle struck by Shia’s pickup truck ran a red light while the “Indiana Jones” actor attempted to make a legal left turn, causing the collision to occur.

Unfortunately for LaBeouf, the DUI charge still stands and he’ll be arraigned as soon as he’s released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  On the bright side, at least Shia’s passenger, Transformers 2 star Isabel Lucas, and the other driver weren’t badly injured, keeping LaBeouf out of a felony charge.
