Shakira’s Inauguration Night Celebration
Thoroughly enjoying the Presidential Inauguration festivities, Shakira was spotted all over Washington DC last night (January 20).
The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress made an appearance at the RIAA Inaugural Ball as well as the Neighborhood Ball, looking sexy in a black strapless dress with silver accents.
Shakira has been an avid supporter of President Barack Obama from the start, as she believed he’d be the one to unite international relations and help underdeveloped countries.
She recently told press that it was “an impulse, from my heart, really,” adding, “Of course, everyone has unbelievably high expectations, including me.”
“It’s a triumph for all the minorities in this country. Only in a country as great as this one can the son of an immigrant become president through hard work and perseverance. That is something that makes me the fan that I am of America.”
