“Sex and the City” Premieres in NYC

Taking over Radio City Music Hall, the stars of Sex and the City hit the pink carpet on Tuesday evening for the New York City premiere of their much-anticipated movie.

Wearing a shiny strapless silver Nina Ricci gown, Sarah Jessica Parker joined fellow co-stars Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall in greeting fans and press - who lined up in the early morning hours to see the SATC stars in action.

Following the screening, the gang headed over to the Museum of Modern Art for a posh after party in which “Swarovski provided over a half a million dollars worth of sparkling decor, including 10,000 crystals for the pink carpet and more than 500 crystal heart ornaments to adorn the trees in the garden at MOMA.”

“We can’t remember the last time a movie has created so much anticipation among female moviegoers from their 20s through their 40s,” said Harry Medved, a spokesman for Fandango.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” makes its way into theaters on May 30, 2008.
