Selena Gomez: Off to the Teen Choice Awards
Ready to take the stage at the Teen Choice Awards tomorrow night, Selena Gomez was up bright and early to catch a flight out to Los Angeles on Saturday (August 2).
Dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans with sandals and a peace sign wrap around her neck, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star left her New York City hotel - being chauffeured over to JFK Airport, where she was greeted by an awaiting swarm of paparazzi.
Speaking of paparazzi, Selena recently explained that she’d much rather pose for pictures with fans than be caught out on her personal time by the professional snappers.
“I try to take pictures with all the kids. When it’s crazy old men trying to take my picture, I’m sorry. I’m strictly with the kids,” Selena tells.
Continuing on with the interview, the 16-year-old Disney up-and-comer says: “[Being famous] is overwhelming and there’s a lot to think about… to know there are hundreds of kids out there that look up to me. I know that’s a big responsibility. I am also very confident to say that it is wonderful and I’ll do my best that I can do to be the best role model I can be.”
