Rihanna Reveals Her Role Model
Everyone has a role model, someone they admire and want to model their life after. And for Rihanna, she’s set the bar high, saying she wants to be like pop queen Madonna.
The Umbrella singer says that she hopes that she can have the longevity and cultural relevance that Madonna’s known for. She says that the impact Madonna has had on the pop music world has been invaluable.
Recently, Rihanna told press, “I want to be the black Madonna. Any artist could have done the music which appeared on her first two albums but her latest songs were ones only a certain artist could do.”
And while she works toward being a black Madonna, she can rest easy that Jay-Z is making sure no “scrubs” come up and try to date her. She told press, “I just found out from a mutual friend that guys will talk to Jay first before they try to approach me. He’s very protective. Jay has my best interests in mind. If it’s a good guy I know Jay won’t shut him down. But if he’s not, Jay will be like, ‘No, no, no’.”
