Rihanna Misses People Her Own Age
When celebrities strike stardom at a young age, they’re forced to turn into adults overnight, or risk becoming washed-out stars. And being a celebrity at any age requires operating in the cutthroat world of the entertainment industry. So far, Rihanna has managed to succeed in both regards, but admits that she is desperate to hang out with people her own age.
The Umbrella hitmaker recently told Bliss magazine: “I do miss being around people my own age. That’s why it’s so great when I get to see my best friend. She is at a university studying law and economics, but when she has a break I fly her over to see me and we have an amazing time. We goof around, and she keeps me sane.”
Rihanna credits most of her success with being able to thrive in an adult world as a teenager to the way that her mother raised her. “It’s not difficult for me to be around people older than me. I’m used to it now - it’s how my mom brought me up. She let me be a child, but always treated me like an adult, too.”
Being a teenager or not, Rihanna has become one of the hottest females singers this year. With close ties to Jay-Z and his production company, Rihanna is just getting her career started. This Barbados bombshell will continue to rock the charts for years to come.
