Rihanna Has Made Her Country Proud

Out for a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon, Rihanna was spotted out getting her grub on with some pals in Hollywood earlier this week.

The 19-year-old Umbrella hitmaker is coming off of a big win at the American Music Awards, as she was named Favorite Female Artist, Soul/R&B. And those in her homeland of the Barbados couldn’t be more proud.

According to Nation News, “Barbados has never produced a talent that has received so much global acclaim. Like a massive earthquake, this talented Combermerian has shaken the music world, and everyone in the international music industry recognizes her gift.”

The Caribbean news agency goes on to tell, “We celebrate Rihanna’s every achievement because we see in her the embodiment of Barbados – a small, even fragile figure, in a big, hostile world, but possessing the talent to hold her own if given the opportunity.”
