Saturday, November 10, 2007 Rihanna Dubbed A Diva By the Irish
Rihanna took a break from her hectic European tour on Thursday to record Hate That I Love You aboard the Battersea Power Station in Scotland. Working a tartan outfit for the song, recorded for a TV show, the Umbrella singer reportedly is being dubbed a diva after making demands for an upcoming show in Ireland. According to press, “The R&B beauty made it clear to the organizers that the Irish police escort was an indispensable condition to her performing in the capital city of Dublin.” “She requested a full Garda escort to help her beat the Dublin traffic. But it is not going to happen,” an insider told. “We get a lot of these demands because artists from the USA get crazy demands met when they are on tour,” the insider said, adding, “However in Ireland there is just no way you could do something like that. We try to meet as many of Rihanna’s requests as possible because she is the hottest international act at the moment. But that is one step too far.”
The show is set for December 2nd, so it’ll be interesting to see who wins out on this one.
