Rihanna Does MOBO’s, Talks Jay-Z
Few people have a really good mentor. And Rihanna is one of those few. Her career has been an instant success, and she tells that it’s Jay-Z that has helped her keep grounded.
Last night at the MOBO Awards nominations party in London, the Umbrella singer revealed the advice that the rap mogul imparted unto her.
Rihanna told press, “He’s just told me to keep good people around me, stay humble, keep grounded and don’t get carried away by everything around me.”
The 19-year-old singer was nominated for two awards, Best Video and Best International Act. Also nominated was Jay-Z’s main squeeze Beyonce. But there’s no bad blood between Rihanna and the Bootylicious singer.
Rihanna told press, “Beyoncé is not the enemy. She is the competition but we get on fine. We’re great.”
