Richie Sambora Officially Charged With DUI

It’s been a month since his DUI arrest, and earlier today Richie Sambora was formally charged by the Orange County, California District Attorney’s office.

Back on March 25th, Sambora was observed swerving around Laguna Beach in his Hummer H2 by the Laguna Beach Police.  And when they pulled him over, he was discovered to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Bon Jovi Guitarist blew a .13, while the California legal limit is .08.  Given the fact that he had his 10-year-old daughter Ava and her teenage cousin in the car, the LB police recommended that he be charged with misdemeanor child endangerment, but prosecutors declined to pursue that charge.

His arraignment is set for May 7th, and if he’s found guilty, Sambora could face a maximum penalty of six months behind bars.  We’ll keep you updated on his case.
