Reese Witherspoon’s CDF Awards Night

Always interested in using her fame to benefit others, Reese Witherspoon was spotted at the Children’s Defense Fund’s 18th Annual Los Angeles Beat the Odds Awards last night in Beverly Hills, California.

The “Sweet Home Alabama” sweetie arrived on the red carpet looking classic and cute in a black jacket/black blouse/black trousers combo as she smiled for the paparazzi.

In related news, Star magazine has recently reported that Miss Witherspoon has received several marriage proposals from her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal (in March, July, and October of this year), though she’s turned them all down as she’s not ready to get married this soon after her divorce from Ryan Phillippe.

At this point, Jake is out of ideas, and Reese will have to do the asking when she’s ready, says a source. “Jake feels he’s found the love of his life, and he can’t understand why Reese won’t take that step with him.”
