Thursday, March 12, 2009 Reese and Kiefer: Monsters in Madrid
Fresh from a promotional appearance in London, England, Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherlandwere spotted at a photo call for “Monsters Vs Aliens” in Madrid, Spain today (March 12). The “Sweet Home Alabama” hottie and her “24” costar both looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as they posed for the Spanish press at the Santo Mauro Hotel.
In a recent interview, Reese revealed that her kids had no small part in getting her to do the movie, especially after they saw “Wall-E.” “I’ve had the pressure for years and years from the kids to do a movie like this. They’re really excited about it. They’ve been on the Web site for days and days, playing around and doing the quizzes and everything.” Witherspoon also commented that both of her kids (Ava,10 and Deacon, 5) had very different reactions to “Monsters Vs Aliens” initially. “I took my kids to see it a couple of weeks ago. As I was driving home from the theater I said to my children in the back seat, ‘So, what do you think is the message in this movie?’ My daughter really thoughtfully said, ‘I think it’s about never letting someone underestimate you and always living up to your true potential.’ I said, ‘That is so astute, yes, Ava, that is exactly what the message is.’” “Then I said, ‘Deacon, what do you think the movie is about? Friendship? Being an outsider?’ He said, ‘I think it’s about… I think it’s about when octopus aliens come to your planet you got to make sure you kill them.’” Enjoy the pictures of Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland promoting in Madrid (March 12).
