Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal: Lunch Date

As individuals, both Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon tend to steer clear of drama. So it’s no wonder that they prefer their romance to be low key.

The longtime twosome was spotted grabbing some lunch yesterday afternoon out in Los Angeles, California, looking so happy together. And as they finished their meal, both the “Sweet Home Alabama” cutie and her “Day After Tomorrow” beau left in the same vehicle.

Reese looked sweet in a casual blue belted dress with a dark cardigan sweater and a pair of strappy sandals, while Jake opted for a more macho white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Witherspoon’s latest project is a movie called “Four Christmases” (due out in November). She told press, “The movie is all about family. It’s about the connection with your mother and your father, and those dynamics, so I really think people are going to relate to it. [But also,] it’s about divorce. It’s about how people have step-families and [need to] negotiate going to your mom’s and your dad’s. I really think people haven’t seen many movies like that.”
